Our Vision

Effective future protection of our marine environment, backed by broad community support.

The Nature Coast Marine Group is a community organisation established to protect the marine environment in the Eurobodalla area on the NSW
south coast.

With a vision of effective protection of the marine environment, backed by broad community support, the NCMG helps people to learn about the marine environment by organising enjoyable outings to rock shelves, rocky reefs, beaches, estuaries and other marine environments.

We provide plenty of fun opportunities for snorkelling, diving, kayaking, whale watching and other activities for all ages. We also organise periodic talks and film screenings.

We contribute to scientific research through marine life surveys done by snorkelling, scuba diving and other methods.

We are advocates for protection of the environment through contacts with decision-makers, submissions to consultations and participation in meetings and committees.

We actively promote local media coverage of the marine environment, highlighting the Nature Coast’s amazing marine life and the need for marine conservation.

The NCMG generates intrigue and capacity building for children to enjoy and understand their local marine environment, in cooperation with local schools, the Eurobodalla Shire Council and the Batemans Marine Park.

We support the Batemans Marine Park and work consistently and constructively with Marine Park management and other relevant state and local bodies.

The Nature Coast Marine Group is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act.
