Our wharf is a thriving diverse ecosystem and artificial reef, frequented by divers, snorkellers and underwater photography enthusiasts. It is a much celebrated part of our Narooma infrastructure.

Narooma Wharf is home to a magnificent array of diverse marine life and is an area of ecological interest.

As well as the everyday function it offers for recreational and commercial boats and fishers the space is enjoyed daily by locals and visitors alike, either watching the rays, pelicans and seals from above or diving and snorkelling beneath and in the surrounding seagrass meadows and rockwalls.

The wharf pilings, seawalls and seagrass beds are exposed to nutrient rich ocean currents washing into the inlet and very high-water quality, so are home to a rich and diverse ecosystem of fauna. The area is very popular with photographers both underwater and topside.

Thanks to local photographers and divers for these images to see what lies beneath.
