WHAT’S UNDER THE WHARF?!

One of our Most interesting, best hitting events!

Each year, often a few times per year, NCMG teams up with the Batemans Marine Park Authority and Eurobodalla Shire Council (as well as various other local groups) to celebrate the incredible diversity that call our Narooma Town Wharf home!

Whilst massive smooth rays, eagle rays and seals cruise past, our divers find funky critters such as nudibranchs, bubble snails, anemonies and many more and bring them up (safely) to be held in touch tanks on the surface! Kids and adults get up close and personal with our unique friends as the experts impart a wealth of knowledge around their incredible lifestyles.

This event has grown over the years from just a few tanks and attendees to now including education around marine debris, coastal weeds, sanctuary zones and hundreds of participants! We have even been getting some awesome media awareness - check out this radio interview that reporter Floss Adams from ABC South East NSW took at our last event:

This beautiful event is always so much fun for our team as well as the attendees as we never quite know what we are going to find, and what comes up from our search changes each time! We love the surprise.
