I will be running a snorkel training course on Thursday, 8 January. If anyone would like to join the group or has any inquiries please give me a call or send me an email. People who are not yet members of the NCMG can also do the course - we will sign them up on the day!

Snorkeling is a fun and easy activity for anyone who can swim, whatever their age or gender. The Discover Snorkeling training course is for people who have done little or no snorkeling before and who want to build their skills and confidence. It includes:

1) A two hour theory session that covers equipment selection and maintenance, water movement, site selection, safety and marine life;

2) An in-water session covering equipment adjustment, snorkeling skills and a guided tour.

The session will begin at my place at Potato PoInt at 10.00 am. After the theory session, we will go to Bar Beach Narooma for the practical session (Bar Beach is almost always calm and clear and there are a few interesting things to be seen). We would probably finish around 2.00pm.

There is a charge for the course ($40 per person) because of insurance and accreditation costs.

People who have done the course will be better placed to take part in the various snorkeling activities organised by the NCMG - including snorkeling outings, night snorkels, advanced training and participation in marine life surveys.
