Camping Weekend: Depot Beach, Friday 9 May - Sunday 11 May
Following our successful and enjoyable camping weekend at Pretty Beach in Murramarang National Park our second camp will be on the weekend of 9 - 11 May at Depot Beach, surrounded by the Murramarang National Park. People can arrive from the Friday afternoon onwards. The plan is to stay two nights - Friday and Saturday, enjoying intertidal walks, snorkeling, bush walks, eating, imbibing and just having a good time.
Godfrey and Carole Marple are coordinating this activity. Those wanting to be there ( or who want further information) should contact Godfrey, Carole and Godfrey have kindly offered to erect tents for members who are working on Friday and would be unable to make it to Depot Beach before dark.
If members want Carole and Godfrey to erect tents for them, we ask that they leave the tents at 16 Pacific Street Broulee (BROULEE not Mossy Point) before mid-day on Thursday, 8 May. Godfrey and Carole have also explored the availability of cabins.
If any of the Group wishes to book a cabin for the weekend they would need to contact the NPWS Ranger's office direct.
Godfrey and Carole will arrive early on Friday the 9th to stake out a vacant area, so there is no need for any NCMG campers to book a site. Depot Beach is 21 kms from the Batemans Bay bridge. We will provide details of how to get to the camping area closer to the time.
